A remote train, a snowstorm - and a murder under the silent glaciers: At Theater Chur, "Murder on the Orient Express" becomes a suspenseful puppet and drama event full of mystery and atmosphere.
In this new production at the Theater Chur, the legendary detective Hercule Poirot travels from Istanbul to Davos on the Orient Express - but instead of a speech of triumph, a murder awaits him at the foot of the Alps, hidden in the untouched snow. The well-known novel becomes a stage play here: the renowned Puppentheater Halle interweaves puppetry with acting, creates miniature dimensions full of liveliness and humor - and invites the audience to think, feel and guess along in the confined space of a train compartment.
Director, stage, costumes and characters work together - an invisible battle of truths begins between window glances, train noises and veiled gestures. Who is the perpetrator? Who is the victim? And what is hidden behind the masks? The production unfolds a dense atmosphere: a prison of snow, wood and secrets - and at the same time an homage to the classic detective play with a contemporary edge. Visitors become not only witnesses to a crime, but participantsin a game in which every movement, every glance counts.
