The Goldmund Quartet is known for its "exquisite playing" and a "multi-layered homogeneity" (SZ) in the interpretation of great classical and modern works of string quartet literature. Its inwardness, incredibly fine intonation and phrases worked out down to the smallest detail delight audiences worldwide.

As the 2024/25 season calendar shows, the quartet is now one of the leading string quartets of the younger generation. Franz Schubert's String Quartet No. 10 in E flat major (D 87) and the String Quartet No. 4 by Polish composer and violin virtuoso Grażyna Bacewicz (1909-69), whose tonal language is influenced by French neoclassicism but also has romantic traits, will be performed. In Mozart's famous Clarinet Quintet in A major (KV 581), the Goldmund Quartet performs together with clarinettist Sabine Meyer, who is considered one of the most important instrumental soloists of all time.
