Michael Güttler, who will conduct the Hessian State Orchestra Wiesbaden on this concert evening, says of this event: "A program of contrasts: the world of variety, contemporary music and finally a walk to the imaginary Great Gate of Kiev."
The program includes Dmitri Shostakovich's Suite for Variety Orchestra, Alois Bröder's "Adagio" and Ravel's orchestral version of "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky.
