From August 1 to September 19, 2025, the Amberg Congress Centrum will be showing a major photography exhibition by the world-famous Canadian rock musician entitled "#SHOTBYADAMS".
Bryan Adams is world-famous as a musician, known for cult hits such as "Summer of 69" or "Everything I do, I do it for you". Relatively few people know that he is also an outstanding photographer. Adams has been taking photographs at the highest artistic level since the 1990s. He has received several awards for his work, including three Lead Awards (German media prize) and admission to the Royal Photographic Society. His work has appeared on the covers of magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar and GQ. He photographed for the Pirelli 2022 calendar as well as for the advertising campaigns of well-known brand companies. He has also published five photo books and is the editor of Zoo Magazine, which was founded in Berlin and focuses on fashion and culture. Bryan Adam's photographs are exhibited worldwide - and from August 1 in a major show in Amberg in the Upper Palatinate.

"#SHOTBYADAMS" - Amberg exhibition presents novelties
The works selected for the exhibition at the ACC focus on Bryan Adams' photographs of famous personalities from the world of music, film, fashion and art. With around 80 works, it is the largest solo exhibition of this group of works in Germany for a long time. What is particularly exciting is that some of the images are very recent photographs that Bryan Adams has only recently taken in Germany and elsewhere.

The focus is on people
Mick Jagger, Amy Winehouse, Pink, Ben Kingsley, Mickey Rourke, Kate Moss and even Queen Elizabeth II are just some of the names that have posed for Bryan Adams. In his photographs, he focuses on people and gets very close to the stars. He succeeds in bringing out the character traits and nature of his models. This is perhaps also due to the fact that he knows what it is like to be on the other side. The viewer senses this strong trust between photographer and subject. The pictures become witnesses to an intimate, dignified moment full of subtle depth. The result is atmospheric, multi-faceted portraits that captivate the viewer, linger in the memory and sometimes even inspire reflection.
#SHOTBYADAMS shows honest and private moments of world stars behind the facade of show business.
