About Ds Chrüz, a cooperation between the Bern Symphony Orchestra and Casino Bern, dares to bridge the gap between classical music and pop once a year in order to break down genre boundaries and open up new artistic paths.
After Lo & Leduc, Philipp Fankhauser and Sophie Hunger, the fourth edition of the crossover experiment features a very special treat for the ears at Über Ds Chrüz: Mario Batkovic! The composer, songwriter and accordion high-flyer explores the sonic possibilities of his instrument to the full and unfolds a maelstrom in his meditative, pulsating minimal music that is impossible to resist. The Bernese multi-talent has long been at home all over the world and has released numerous albums as well as soundtracks for films (including "Our Garden of Eden" and "The Beekeeper") and computer games (Red Dead Redemption II). The renowned Rolling Stone Magazine voted Batkovic's debut album into the top 10 list of the "Best Avant Albums of 2017". Batkovic himself says that an orchestra is constantly playing in his head. So what could be more natural than bringing him together with the Bern Symphony Orchestra?
