Museum in the morning, cinema in the afternoon, theater in the evening and club at night - Hamburg has everything for the perfect cultural mix. A new campaign for Hamburg as a city of culture aims to inspire people to experience the Hanseatic city's diverse culture. Under the motto "Mixing is possible", Hamburg residents and their guests are invited to discover new cultural venues and events and mix them with the tried and tested. 

Hamburg's Senator for Culture and Media, Dr. Carsten Brosda, explains the campaign's approach: "Every day in Hamburg you can experience culture in all its diversity - from vernissages and art house cinema to poetry slams and dance performances to classical and club concerts. And the best thing about it: mixing is possible! We want to invite you to discover new cultural territory and mix what the cultural city of Hamburg has to offer. When it comes to culture, we often stick to what we already know well. But discovering culture off the beaten track offers incredible potential for new perspectives, encounters and inspiration."

Hamburg's cultural institutions are also invited to get involved themselves and draw attention to their diverse offerings. They can give followers of other cultural institutions an insight into their own institution via Instagram takeovers.
Kulturstadt Hamburg now also has a home for the campaign on Instagram: With a competition, testimonial campaigns and collaborations with many of Hamburg's cultural institutions, the aim is to get Hamburg residents and their guests excited about culture in Hamburg on @kulturstadthamburg. To this end, the website www.kulturstadt.hamburg turns Wednesdays into #Mischwoch: every week there are tips for the best cultural mixes.
