Apart from the fact that the violinist's days are of course far from being that old: The risk can be well taken if the partners are as competent as in this case. The Vienna Philharmonic under the direction of Daniel Harding is ready to embark on one of the longest and technically most demanding instrumental concertos in music history together with Frank Peter Zimmermann. And afterwards, they will take the audience into the "New World", as Antonín Dvorák captured it in memorable themes in his last symphony.
