Galka Scheyer and the Blue Four - Kandinsky, Feininger, Klee, Jawlensky

Artist, gallery owner, art dealer - Emilie Esther Scheyer, known as Galka, was a pioneer in the art world. As an agent for Wassily Kandinsky, Lyonel Feininger, Paul Klee and Alexej von Jawlensky, she made an important contribution to the perception of modern art in the USA. To mark the 100th anniversary of the group, the Städtisches Museum Braunschweig is dedicating a major special exhibition to the Jewish art patron and the revolutionary art of her colleagues.
