This stage sorba is not a reading, but a fully composed stage play for an actor and a musical ensemble.

"Have you ever seen something crash so beautifully?" There are many "most famous sentences" in the history of literature and film. This sentence from the novel by Nikos Kazantzakis is definitely one of them - the novel and film adaptation are classics. In this work based on the author's autobiographical experiences, the intellectual first-person narrator, plagued by self-doubt, meets Alexis Sorbas, a free spirit bubbling over with joie de vivre. Determined to give up his profession as a writer and share the lives of ordinary people, the author offers the adventurer the job of foreman in the mine he has inherited on the coast of Crete. While the intellectual relies on education and an analytical mind, Sorbas embodies the instinctive man who follows only his intuition. Based on the novel by Nikos Kazantzakis, director Martin Mühleis has now created a modern melodrama, and thus a parade role for Miroslav Nemec, the "Tatort" detective and two-time Grimme Award winner. He brings Kazantzakis' roguish hero to life with relish and great passion.
