The Renaissance castle breathes history, human destinies, architectural harmony and beauty, the power of carved stone, curved columns, stone faces in the walls - all combined with the momentary magic of the theater, that ephemeral web of fantasy, representation and moving contemplation. The castle courtyard is filled with decades of laughter, breathing and witnessing stage events - a dream of a theater space.
Against convention! Against the seemingly insurmountable hurdles of the social staircase. Against social injustice. Against all reason. Despite all stupid prejudices. Try - risk - play. Playing the trump cards that life offers, even if the trump card is hairy, just a wig, an outward appearance. Titus Feuerfuchs, the crazy gambler who plays and wins and loses. The women around him, four of them - great women who each take their lives into their own hands and try to get something out of life. Life and pleasure. Our interaction with each other is constantly changing. If there is further development in the sense of openness of minds and hearts, this is always initiated by unconventional types like a Titus Feuerfuchs, by strong outsiders who are aware of their value, like a Salome Pockerl, and ultimately by such strong, educated women as a Cypressenburg, who acquires lived tolerance and openness in herself and for others.
When the game of life comes to a standstill, people sing. Or laughed. Laughing at the profound lightness of our existence.
