Concerts, exhibitions, theater and cabaret make the cultural summer in the baroque Albeck Castle, the beautiful pearl of the Gurktal, an unforgettable experience in 2024. For example, Johann Nestroy's farce "Der Zerissene", a major work by the famous playwright, is on the program at the Albeck Summer Theatre from 6 July to 1 September.
Top-class musical experiences await you at Albeck Castle in summer 2024. The concert Evergreens with Benno Schollum, Peggy Forma and Christine Riegler on the piano on June 2 will kick things off. At the same time, Benno Schollum will perform with his daughter Sophie in the spring concert "Wenn die Tochter mit dem Vater...". Erlend Krauser will take the audience into the world of "Dreamlike beautiful sounds" on June 9. The duo Sarah Orhouzee and Elisabeth Wurzer will present the program "Come again - Timelessly touching" on 16 June. As part of the Summer Theater 2024, Schloss Albeck will perform Nestroy's farce "Der Zerrissene": Mr. von Lips, a rich man, no longer knows what to do with his money. Having grown up in affluence, he no longer finds joy in life despite - or perhaps because of - his wealth. Lips has already experienced everything and all his wishes have already come true. So he plunges into an adventure that pushes him to the limit. And so things take their inexorably entertaining course.
The program is enriched by special events such as the international wood sculpture symposium, which attracts artists from all over the world to present their works in Austria's largest wood sculpture park. The program is complemented by the exhibition "Evelyn Tschelisnig: Rustic Views".
