15 years ago, the first wind players from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Volksoper, the Staatskapelle Dresden and the Hanover State Opera came together to form phil Blech Wien. Since then, the world-class wind ensemble has been a regular guest at the Liszt Festival Raiding and has always thrilled audiences. From Monteverdi and Mozart to Verdi, Wagner and Strauss, this time the ensemble spans a wide range of top-class wind music!

20 years of Federspiel
The seven-piece wind band combines local folk music traditions and world music elements with their love of experimentation and explores the tension between tradition and modernity. The desire for the new, the personal and the unmistakable, combined with their boundless joy of playing, which is so noticeable to the audience, makes FEDERSPIEL one of the most innovative and interesting ensembles on the European brass music scene.
Despite their youth, they have already been around for 20 years and are celebrating in style with an anniversary program.

"From musical farmer's boy to Austria's most famous folk musician": this is the best way to describe Franz Posch. He has hosted the hit show "Mei liabste Weis" for over 35 years, has been playing with his "Innbrügglern" for more than 30 years and is bringing the top Tyrolean brass players back to Raiding. Also in their "prime" are the golden violinists around musician "veteran" Walter Burian. The 5 thoroughbred musicians have been friends for a long time and have dug through the archives for old musical treasures. They bring melodies of timeless beauty that you can't get enough of to the folk music matinee. The West meets the East of Austria. And their melodious joie de vivre goes straight to the heart!
