Santa Maria delle Grazie is a Dominican church in Milan. The church, which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1980, is particularly famous for housing Leonardo da Vinci's secco painting "The Last Supper", which was created between 1494 and 1498. Construction of the Benedictine monastery began in 1463 and was completed by Bramante at the end of the 15th century.

The Last Supper
"The Last Supper" by the Italian painter Leonardo da Vinci, usually shortened to "The Last Supper" in German-speaking countries, is one of the most famous murals in the world.
The work, executed in the secco technique, was commissioned by the Milanese Duke Ludovico Sforza between 1494 and 1498. It adorns the north wall of the refectory (dining room) of the Dominican monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan and is regarded as the pinnacle of Leonardo's painterly oeuvre.
