Academia Vocalis offers a great platform for young aspiring artists in the fields of opera, operetta, song, oratorio, jazz, Latin jazz and gospel. Internationally renowned instructors share their valuable wealth of experience with talented young singers in masterclasses. The results are then presented to an enthusiastic audience at exquisite concert evenings.

In this 36th year, efforts were once again made to bring world-class speakers to Kufstein and Wörgl, and all of them gladly accepted. This year, for example, Univ.-Prof. Karlheinz HANSER, Dean of the mdw Vienna, with two master classes, Univ.-Prof. Tobias Truniger with the corresponding opera interpretation, Univ.-Prof. Christoph Prégardien, who is coming to Tyrol for the second time, and Univ.-Prof. Olaf Bär as a novelty in the master class series in the Tyrolean lowlands.

As a novelty, there will be some song and aria evenings with excellent graduates of Academia Vocalis, in addition to the already established and great prizewinners' concert with last year's excellent young prizewinner Michael Nagl, bass-baritone.
The "International Masterclasses for Singing" in Wörgl, Academia Vocalis, were founded 36 years ago under the most difficult conditions. Not only opera, song & oratorio masterclasses but also gospel-jazz-rapso-workshops, musicals, operettas, folk music focus evenings and, above all, courses for children & young people, which are back this year after the sensational success 7 years ago - the children's opera "Max & Moritz - sieben lustige Streiche" and the great success of the Christmas Singspiel 2018: "Silent Night - From Peace Song to Department Store Hit", as well as, the singspiel - produced last year - loosely based on the Wörgl free money experiment entitled "When Money Learned to Walk", still enjoy great popularity.
Participants from near and far, such as last year, where course participants from Austria and neighboring countries such as Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Belgium, but also from China, Japan, Mongolia, Korea, Russia, Colombia, Canada (from 17 different nations from 4 continents!), some even traveled there especially, form a colorful mixture of cultures and mentalities, which is why a lively intellectual exchange can take place, from which everyone ultimately benefits.
