Since 2020, there has been a festival featuring the music of Johann Sebastian Bach in the Hanseatic and university city every October: the Rostock Bach Days.

On a long weekend each year, lovers of the music of the great Baroque composer are invited to come to Rostock to experience and enjoy the concerts. Renowned performers await you in the north of Germany. Internationally sought-after artists will be stopping off in Rostock. Manuela Schwesig, Minister President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, has personally assumed the patronage of the Rostock Bach Festival. The venues will be the Baroque Hall, St. Nikolai Church, University Church and Lichtenhagen Village Church.
