The Cité du Temps - French for City of Time - is located in the heart of Biel/Bienne, the world capital of watchmaking.
This special place is entirely dedicated to time and combines the playful, cheerful style of the Swatch brand and the luxurious character of Omega under one roof. Visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in two different worlds of the art of watchmaking, which are presented in two museums: Planet Swatch and Omega Museum.
The OMEGA Museum
The OMEGA Museum, housed in a fascinating new building since 2019, tells the story of the Swiss brand through films, exhibits and interesting interactive events. The journey into the heart of OMEGA includes a 360° history of time, a giant walk-through Speedmaster and a fascinating animation that reveals the inner workings of the famous Co-Axial escapement. During their visit, visitors can discover the Olympian in themselves on a 9-meter-long running track and measure their time with the famous technology of the Official Timekeeper OMEGA. They will also gain an insight into the history of OMEGA ladies' watches, run across the surface of the moon and enter the exciting world of James Bond 007.
