Music/Open-Air After two acclaimed editions, the atmospheric Domplatz Open-Air goes into the next round and promises another musical highlight in the open air!
Against the impressive backdrop of St. Pölten Cathedral, the Festspielhaus St. Pölten invites the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria, conducted by Lorenz Aichner, to create a late summer evening around the theme of wine. The gala repertoire with compositions by Johann Strauss, Sergei Prokofiev, Camille Saint-Saëns and Franz Lehár, among others, combines opera, operetta and popular orchestral music with modern sounds. Soprano Miriam Kutrowatz and tenor Robert Bartneck enrich the concert program with their multifaceted voices.
They are joined by the unique 5/8erl in Ehr'n, who invite you on a musical journey around the world with their extraordinary mixture of Danube and Mississippi sounds, calypso, bossa nova and jazz ballads - always with soul as a constant. The music and singing here is a real joy!
The Kaiser Musikanten inspire with their unbridled joy of playing and their unmistakable style. Traditional brass music at the highest level meets contemporary interpretations - alpine joie de vivre pre-programmed!
The actress and singer Katharina Straßer will lead you through the lively concert evening with her quick-witted wit and, together with her band, provide entertaining highlights. You can also look forward to a culinary supporting program.
