Taggenbrunn Festival 2025: musical enjoyment from classical to contemporary. The Taggenbrunn Festival 2025 offers a diverse program from classical music to jazz with stars such as Thomas Quasthoff, Tobias Moretti and Mark Seibert under the motto "kultur.genuss.erleben". Inspired by the festival motto 2025 "kultur.genuss.erleben", artistic director Arno Steinwider presents a diverse program in his second year as artistic director of the Taggenbrunn Festival - from classical music to operetta and musicals to contemporary music - embedded in the unique atmosphere of Taggenbrunn Castle.
Here is an excerpt from this year's program:
Opening with Grammy winner Thomas Quasthoff - My Favorite Songs
The opening on May 10, 2025 with three-time Grammy winner Thomas Quasthoff marks the start of a festival series that promises unforgettable concert experiences with outstanding artists such as Mark Seibert, Tobias Moretti and the Johann Strauss Ensemble of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
When Thomas Quasthoff performs his new program "My Favourite Songs", he is one thing above all: absolutely authentic. Once celebrated as a world-famous opera and lieder singer, bass-baritone Thomas Quasthoff ended his unprecedented career in 2012 by winning three Grammys and seven ECHOs. Quasthoff and his band have already wowed audiences at London's Wigmore Hall and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with his "Favorite Songs" from George Gershwin to Ray Brown and John Lennon. In 2025, Thomas Quasthoff will open the Taggenbrunn Festival on May 10, 2025 with his own very special selection of songs.

Max Müller
A surprise for many: the popular policeman from the Rosenheim Cops is also a trained opera singer. So you shouldn't miss this evening. Or as "Michi Mohr" would say: "If you'd like to come along, please." Whether in cabaret chansons by Georg Kreisler, in romantic art songs by Schubert, in cozy and humorous Viennese songs, in old hits or subtly ironic animal poems by Ringelnatz and Morgenstern - Max Müller always delights as a singer with an ingratiating timbre as well as a reciter with acting versatility.

Tobias Moretti & Wood Sounds - Odysseus
Over two and a half thousand years ago, the Greek poet Homer asked the muse to tell of the man who had spent so many years wandering abroad: Odysseus. Since then, the muse has continued to speak of him - not only in Homer's stories, but also in Dante's Commedia and Kazantzakis' Odyssey. The program Irrfahrten is about ancient and modern odysseys, about wandering, finding one's way home and being pushed away. Actor Tobias Moretti tells the story of travelers, exiles and the driven, the dangers of the dissolution of boundaries and the fruitfulness of boundless searching.
