The Earth is hurtling through space at 100,000 kilometers per hour. Its year-long journey around the sun is constantly changing the living conditions on its surface. And this triggers huge animal migrations. Through water, air and on land, huge groups, herds and swarms move across the Earth's surface every year. Among other things, this involves securing food sources, avoiding adverse weather conditions, searching for spawning grounds or sexual partners or opening up new habitats and food sources. Their physical feats are amazing, their navigation skills impressive. Who migrates where? How do they manage this? What drives them?
The new exhibition "Tierisch mobil! Nature on the move" is dedicated to the diverse aspects of smaller and larger animal migrations. Some only in Lower Austria alone, some far beyond. Some inconspicuous, others unmissable. Join us on a journey through the world of migrating animals!
