Paul Abraham's masterpiece from what is jokingly referred to as the "tinny operetta era" returns to Baden after twelve years and will delight audiences with jazzy rhythms, melodies and hits such as "Meine Mama ist aus Yokohama", "Mausi, süß warst du heute Nacht", the English waltz "Good Night" and the foxtrot "Ja, so ein Mädel".

Rittmeister Stefan Koltay of the Honved Hussars has escaped from Russian captivity to Tokyo, where he seeks refuge in the American legation. There he meets his former love Viktoria, who is now the wife of the American diplomat John Cunlight. Koltay reminds Viktoria of their mutual vow of loyalty before the war. From Tokyo, the journey first leads via St. Petersburg back to Hungary, until Viktoria can find happiness with her hussar.
