Cheeky, young, poetic, but above all more feminine and worldly. Klaus Reitberger already staged his new version of "Jedermann", freely adapted from Hugo von Hofmannsthal, in 2018. Now the Stadttheater Kufstein is venturing a new edition of the former success. The special atmosphere of the unique, modern production is also created by the historical location of the play in the Festungsneuhof at the foot of Kufstein Fortress.

After the great success of the summers of 2018 and 2022, the Stadttheater Kufstein is responding to the wishes of its audience and once again presenting a contemporary interpretation of the classic "Jedermann". It remains true to the beautiful sound of Hofmannsthal's artistic language, but dares to invert meaning and gender and does not shy away from modern elements. The result is something completely new and incredibly appealing ...

This year's Kufstein "Jedermann" season promises promising innovations; retro drag queen Betty Pearl ensures first-class musical enjoyment and tingling goosebumps with a glamorous, morbid performance, while two first-class actresses shine as "Frau Jedermann": Karolina Astl and Barabra Dorfer each play half of the performances and give the story a very personal touch with their refreshingly different interpretations of the "Jedermann" character.
Spectators can expect spectacular open-air theater in the historic setting of the fortress courtyard. A wooden grandstand with a roof ensures that the audience stays dry even when it rains.
Premiere: June 14, 2024
Further performances: June 16, 20, 23, 27 and 30; July 1, 4, 7 and 11, 2024
