With his successful play "Dance Macabre", the versatile stage artist Martin Zimmermann thrilled the Chur audience at the Swiss Theatertreffen in 2022.

He primarily associates the canton of Graubünden with visits to his grandfather in Jenins, where he spent a lot of time as a boy. But Martin Zimmermann is almost more influenced by the many women who raised him in Tösstal (ZH) and accompanied him into life. For him, the question of equal rights and equality seems to have been answered as clearly as daylight. His role models are primarily women*. After training in circus arts in Paris, Martin Zimmermann has now been touring internationally for more than 25 years. He invents, choreographs, stages (and sometimes performs himself) visual and physical theater without words, whose mixture of contemporary circus, dance, theater and spectacular stage installations inspires large audiences.

In his new work "Louise", Zimmermann works with four extraordinary dancers and circus artists. Each of them brings with them a wide range of different experiences and talents. The piece is both a tribute to the French sculptor Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010) and an exploration of the theme of resistance to all forms of tyranny.
