The motto of the DAVOS FESTIVAL 2024 is Utopia and follows the temptation to correct past mistakes, lay new tracks and positively change the future. But in linguistic terms, utopia is also a "non-place", an unattainable ideal.
In numerous chamber music and solo concerts, the DAVOS FESTIVAL explores diverse visions of the future, whether in the form of dreamlike, failed, already realized, old or new ideas - with music that skilfully bridges the gap between past and future.

The DAVOS FESTIVAL - young artists in concert was founded in the summer of 1986 on the initiative of Michael Haefliger, the current artistic director of the Lucerne Festival. Since then, the spirit and expressiveness of the young musicians, combined with the splendor of the Davos mountains, have attracted music enthusiasts from all over Switzerland and the world to Davos year after year. In addition to the two-week festival in summer, the New Year's Concert has also been part of the DAVOS FESTIVAL program since 2011 and the winter Singing Week since 2016.
