A top-class line-up, a great love of experimentation and a clear commitment to promoting young talent: the program of the Audi Summer Concerts 2025 from 21 June to 27 July is once again characterized by its enormous diversity. International stars are represented as well as up-and-coming talents. The nationally popular music festival also offers exceptional concert experiences for children and young people. Audi's own production, which will take place on the construction site of the new Museum of Concrete Art and Design Ingolstadt, is innovative. Tickets for the concerts are available now.

The music festival will open on June 21 with the three winning compositions of the Audi Composers Competition - in collaboration with the Arcis Saxophone Quartet and the vocal ensemble LauschWerk, which consists largely of active and former members of the Audi Youth Choir Academy. The winners of the composition competition were selected by a jury of experts from a total of more than 140 submissions: First place went to Luis Suria Lorenzo with "The song wants to be light" from Spain, followed by Chris Kovarik with "Sister of the Sun and Moon" from Canada and Antoine Gabriel Brun with "Stellar, Le Chant de la Témérité" from France. The jury also gave a special mention to French composer Alain Berlaud, whose work "Eclipse" only just missed out on the top places. All compositions are based on an image that captures the theme of light in all its facets. The audience can also look forward to a special backdrop: the compositions will be performed on the construction site of the new Museum of Concrete Art and Design, which is not yet open to the public. Accompanied by a dance performance, guests will be guided through the new museum during this in-house production. The result: a fascinating fusion of music, movement and space.

Xavier Ros, Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources at AUDI AG: "Culture and music bring people together. This is more important than ever in difficult times. With a unique mix of international stars and up-and-coming talents, we are creating a stage that connects generations at the Audi Summer Concerts. I am particularly proud of the program for children and young people. In this way, we are also giving this young target group access to the world of classical music."

World stars of the classical music scene as guests
The Audi Summer Concerts will once again present world stars of the classical music scene in 2025. For example, star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter will perform the second violin concerto composed for her by film composer John Williams with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the Festsaal of the Stadttheater on July 10. The works of the five-time Oscar winner are not only present in concert halls, his music is also closely associated with cinema classics such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter. The program includes the film music "Hedwig's Theme" from "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone".
On July 27, accordionist Martynas Levickis will take to the stage in the Festsaal of the Stadttheater. The young star from Lithuania is internationally acclaimed for his virtuosity and versatility and conjures up surprising and fascinating sounds from his instrument. In Ingolstadt, he will present his own arrangement of George Bizet's "Carmen Suite".
On the second weekend of the festival, Audi invites you to the popular classical open-air concerts in Ingolstadt's Klenzepark. First on the program on June 27 are musical highlights by the Audi Bläserphilharmonie and pianist Florian Glemser. The following day, guests will experience a German-Italian opera night with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt and soprano Hila Baggio. Admission to both events in the Klenzepark is free.

Special offers for children and young people
Audi is opening up access to classical music for the little ones with the Aurora Orchestra's family concert on July 6. The British music pioneers - known for their innovative and boundary-breaking productions on international stages - will present their own version of Camille Saint-Saëns' "Carnival of the Animals". The spectacular parade with movement, stage design and light playfully introduces young concert-goers to the diverse world of sound of orchestral instruments.
At the children's concert "ADUI" by the Audi Bläserphilharmonie on July 12, music-loving children accompany superhero "ADUI" on his mission to find the four missing Audi rings. The music is the common thread running through the story. Refreshingly innovative: in this commissioned work by Austrian trombonist, composer and arranger Siegmund Andraschek, the children in the audience don't have to sit still all the time, but are actively involved in the action.

The Salzburg Festival returns to Ingolstadt on July 26 with a musical theater production for children aged 8 and up. The play "Berge flüstern laut" by director Elli Neubert is about Salzburg's legends and myths. Young guests experience a search for wondrous creatures, strange places and magical happenings. Audi is also organizing another workshop with schoolchildren from the region on 5 July.

By transcending genre boundaries, the Audi Summer Concerts 2025 once again demonstrate their traditional love of experimentation. The Stockholm chamber orchestra O/Modernt, which is known for its openness to all musical styles, is predestined for this. The "wild Swedes" (Der Tagesspiegel) succeed in building a breathtaking bridge between baroque, classical, avant-garde, minimal, pop, rock, grunge, metal and punk. On July 19, O/Modernt and the British violinist Hugo Ticciati will present their latest concert project "Crossing over the Atlantic" at the Audi museum mobile, where music by the composer Benjamin Britten meets hits by Radiohead, Sting and Pink Floyd.
