An unforgettable experience in a magnificent setting where art and nature meet. The museum is housed in a beautiful 19th century manor house and is surrounded by a park with centuries-old trees offering a unique view of the Alps, Lake Geneva and Lausanne Cathedral. The "Ferme" next to the Hermitage is home to the educational studio and the Michel Bugnion Auditorium, where the events accompanying the exhibitions take place.

In partnership with the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris / Paris Musées, the Fondation de l'Hermitage is dedicating a major retrospective to Nicolas de Staël (1914-1955), one of the main representatives of post-war art. The exhibition includes a selection of around 100 paintings, drawings and sketchbooks from numerous Swiss, European and international public and private collections. In addition to the highly symbolic Parc des Princes (1952), it presents a significant group of works that have rarely or never been exhibited and highlights some unknown aspects of his career to offer a new perspective on the artist's work.
