The musical by Marshall Brickman, Rick Elice and Andrew Lippa based on characters invented by Charles Addams. America's quirkiest family is back with a new story!

The Addams live in their dilapidated mansion near Central Park. The neighbors attest to their penchant for the macabre; they are considered bizarre, quirky, even monsters by some. When they see the smallest member of the family, "the ice-cold little hand", running through the front garden or the son of the house playing with his guillotine in the moonlight, passers-by change sides of the street. So far, none of the Addams have paid any attention to the gossip, but suddenly their daughter Wednesday begins to feel ashamed of her family. Wednesday is in love with Lukas, a completely "normal" boy. She dreads the thought of Lukas meeting her family, but the meeting cannot be avoided. Lukas' stuffy mother is also on the scene to get an impression of the people her son associates with. For the sake of their daughter, they try to be "normal" for one evening.
