WE ARE HAMLET is a new multilingual, English-based theatrical reinterpretation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, created by an international group of diverse artists and theater makers.
In the Western theatrical tradition, William Shakespeare's Hamlet is the drama that focuses on the existential questions of all people. How do people in different contexts answer Hamlet's existential questions: Who am I? Why do I live? What can or must I do?
These questions are very different for people in Prague, Odessa or Bremen. Their answers are correspondingly different - or are there perhaps more similarities than we had previously thought? Each player will be Hamlet for once and try to find an answer to who we want to be and what we have to do to achieve a common goal.
