Around seventy musicians from over twenty countries around the world make up the St.Gallen Symphony Orchestra. With its successful symphonic concert series, it is the resident orchestra of the most beautiful concert hall in the Lake Constance region, the Tonhalle St.Gallen, which was built in 1909 in the Art Nouveau style and has only recently been acoustically perfected.

When it comes to the light-footed crossing of genre boundaries, uncovering the jazzy potential of classical works and building bridges between traditions, the name Frank Dupree is right at the forefront. The pianist "with the never-ending horizon" comes to St. Gallen together with his trio and shows, so to speak, in a live demonstration how close classical music and jazz are.
