The call by Kunsthaus architects Colin Fournier and Peter Cook "Off into the unknown" was and is an adventurous invitation to explore the limits of one's own imagination and to respond to the demand for alternative ideas and utopias. The interweaving of a multitude of possible strands from history into the present and future becomes the leitmotif for a polyphonic speculation entitled Re-Imagine the Future. On view are Sol LeWitt'sWall. Performed in Space01 and the group exhibition The Other in Space02.

The Other. Re-Imagine the Future
The group exhibition The Other deals with themes such as identity, history, belonging and exclusion. It dwells on the paradoxical position of the Other as a constitutive element, but also as a disruption. This interruption not only serves to differentiate, but is also an impulse to think of this difference as an opening for possible future scenarios. The 20 artistic positions invite us to understand the concept of the "other" as a possibility that dares to explore asymmetrical relationships. On the one hand, these uphold a relationship of exploitation and, on the other, turn to historical and contemporary alternatives that rely on solidarity and camaraderie.

Sol LeWitt's Wall. Performed. Re-Imagine the Future
Sol LeWitt's monumental Wall, an elongated wall drawn for Space01 and installed in a site-specific manner, is being reactivated after 20 years and given a new reading: over a period of nine months, it will be placed in linguistic, historical and conceptual dialogs with positions such as Jasmina Cibic and Franz Vana. Sol LeWitt provides a concept for this, in which the idea is the essential artistic achievement. The production of the works becomes a collective endeavor in which instructions are scrupulously followed. A chapter on conceptual protocols consequently marks the beginning, taking up space with protocols of utopia in line with our endeavor to reactivate the future.
