For the 36th time now, the Gronau Cultural Office invites you to the Jazzfest from April 30 to May 5, 2024. Since 1989, the music festival has stood for musical diversity without borders, presenting pop and techno alongside jazz, blues, swing and funk. With the 2024 line-up, the organizers are staying true to this line and the programme underlines the special character of the Jazzfest: versatile, exciting and handmade.

With Nils Wülker, the Jazzfest welcomes one of Europe's most successful jazz trumpeters. Already programmed for Jazzfest 2023, the concert had to be canceled due to illness and will now take place on 30 April. The award-winning instrumentalist and composer will present the final part of his album trilogy 'GO' together with his band. If you want to groove into the first of May, we warmly recommend the concert with FatCat from Freiburg afterwards. Energetic, groovy funk and pure joy of playing are the ingredients with which Fatcat make their audience happy. Their concerts are an irresistibly sweet party melting pot of funk, soul and disco-pop in the flowing interplay of rhythm & horn section, which invites you to shake and dance along to the ecstatic rhythms.

Firstly, all cats are gray at night and secondly, people don't like to be alone. No wonder that Götz Alsmann makes the night the focus of the evening on his new album. At his concert on May 1st, he will be drawing on exquisite gems from the history of pop music, melancholy and humorous highlights from 1910 to 1965 - and he will be doing this differently to everyone else. It is not for nothing that the singer and pianist Götz Alsmann is considered the "King of German jazz hits".
The wonderful Zucchini Sistaz will provide the musical introduction to the evening. Elegant and refreshing, the exceptional ladies of the German jazz beat dive for one or two musical pearls, fish in the greenery of music history and unearth sunken shellac treasures. As always, they will be bringing along guitar, double bass, trumpet and odds and ends and their contemporary sound in the style of the 20s and 60s. The next acts will follow shortly - you can look forward to it. The K+K Music Night on Saturday, May 4th should definitely be marked in your calendar. With free admission, visitors can expect top-class acts such as Cosmo Klein, the Bluesanovas and the NRW Youth Jazz Orchestra.
