Over 120 concerts are now held on 17 stages over five days, spread throughout the village and on the mountain. The mixture of acoustic music, the impressive mountain landscape, the most beautiful spring snow, Zermatt hospitality and the incomparable atmosphere on the Matterhorn make the festival a unique overall experience.

Unplugged shows by major international acts and promising young talents. Music in an intimate setting, reduced to its musical essence and against an incomparable mountain backdrop. Plus energetic sets from hip DJs. The Zermatt Unplugged acoustic music festival has become an integral part of the European music scene. The first edition took place in 2007, founded as a singer-songwriter festival by Thomas Sterchi, Marco Godat and Heinz Julen & supported by Anni-Frid from ABBA and Jon Lord from Deep Purple. Music in an intimate setting, reduced to its purest form - that's what Zermatt Unplugged stands for.
