The International May Festival 2025 will take place from May 1 to 31, 2025 at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. This traditional festival, which is the second oldest theater festival in Germany after the Bayreuth Festival, brings together artists from all over the world. Singers, actors, dancers and musicians present a multifaceted program of opera, drama, dance and concerts. The May Festival stands for artistic diversity and international encounters that make Wiesbaden a cultural center.
The Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden will also present innovative projects as part of the "Freiräume" scholarship program, which offers local artists a platform to creatively explore the theme "What is our heritage?". These works will take place both in the theater and at other locations in the city, strengthening the connection between the festival and Wiesbaden city life.

With an impressive mix of opera, drama, dance and concerts, the festival promises unforgettable moments. The premiere of Bizet's Die Perlenfischer, inspiring dance productions and outstanding concerts such as Verdi's Requiem at the Kurhaus Wiesbaden are among the highlights.
