The legendary artist Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn and his works are presented for the first time from the perspective of his important pupil Samuel van Hoogstraten, who achieved great success at the Habsburg court. Rembrandt's oeuvre, his themes, his sophisticated compositions and painting techniques are adapted and further developed by Hoogstraten.
