Nestled between Rosenhang and Fulda, the 150-hectare park is located in the immediate vicinity of Kassel city center and the Orangery Palace. The historic park invites you to stroll and linger. Initially laid out around 1700 as a symmetrical baroque garden with water basins and fan-shaped canals, the Karlsaue was transformed into a landscape garden at the end of the 18th century. The Solå Festival takes place in this wonderful park.

On August 31, 2024, the Karlsaue will once again be transformed into the Mecca for all techno enthusiasts. But there will already be spectacular celebrations at the foot of the Hercules in May.
New location for the Sōlå Festival in Kassel
A big bang for all ravers: on May 11, 2024, the Sōlå Festival will kick off with another unique location. The Hercules Monument will be the second venue for performances by the biggest electronic artists on the scene alongside the big Sōlå Festival in the Karlsaue. Look forward to the lineup - it's going to be big! Combo tickets can be purchased until the release. Speed is of the essence now, as capacities at the Hercules Monument are limited. And on August 31, the party will take place as usual on the large lawn in front of the Orangery Palace.
