Last year, over 56,000 fans enjoyed musical highlights in the most beautiful places in Mainz. The "Summer in the City Mainz" program will be impressive again in 2024.
Every year, up to 70,000 people gather in the most beautiful places in Mainz to see their personal stars and starlets at the open-air concerts. Places such as the Citadel, Mainz Volkspark, Cathedral Square and many more are transformed into atmospheric open-air concert venues every year. Originally launched as the Mainz Tent Festival in Volkspark in 1997, the festival evolved into the now nationally renowned open-air concert series SUMMER IN THE CITY Mainz in 2010. Top-class stars are expected again this year.
