Jördis Tielsch was most recently on stage in the line-up of Rea Garvey and Heinz Rudolf Kunze, and is currently accompanying Purple Schulz on his tour, where she not only shines with her extraordinary voice, but also on violin, guitar, piano and accordion.
When she first picked up the violin at the age of six, there was no way of knowing that just eight years later, at the age of just fourteen, she would sweep the audience from their seats at a concert by the Wise Guys in the sold-out Cologne Philharmonie and cause them to give her a standing ovation. The child prodigy not only impressed the audience with her virtuoso violin playing, but also surprised them with a voice that did not match her youthful age at all and which would have been the envy of many a female icon of American country pop even back then.
While young artists have increasingly turned to electronics in recent years, Jördis Tielsch has remained true to herself and her love of handmade music. The child prodigy from back then has now not only completed a solid musical education as a multiple national prizewinner at "Jugend musiziert" and played her way into the hearts of her fans with her own concerts, but has also gained plenty of studio experience with three albums and an EP.
It is not only her phenomenal stage presence and virtuosity on numerous instruments, but above all her unique dedication to every note she plays and every word she sings, coupled with the rare gift of enchanting her audience from the very first note thanks to her warm-hearted, natural manner and taking them on a musical feel-good journey from which they never want to return home.
